Influencers Are Lying To You

Don't listen to everything online

Hey Overthinkerz, How is it going?

The fact that every influence is waking up at 5 in the morning, making their coffee in a nespresso coffee maker and hitting gym is ridiculous! Getting your shit is hard and trust me, I have been bitching about it since I started. I have failed so many times. The audacity these influencers have to record everything like it is nothing and everyone can do it! This raises a question, can everyone get their shit together?

YESSS, 100% everyone can! You, I, your friend, your family everyone needs to and should get their shit together, but when someone says “failing is part of the process”, it always necessarily does not have to be losing $15 Million trying to build a startup. It can be as simple as cheating on your meal plan, skipping gym a day or two or a week or a month, probable not a month!

BUT the only way to get your shit together is to bounce back on the path that you were on as soon as possible!

Get Your Shit Together:

As an overthinker, you need to take care of three things, mental, emotional & physical health. This week we talk about how to build processes to get back on the path off which you fell and failed.

How to build processes so that you don’t get distracted like a 5 year old?

Let’s take my example of how I am planning to get from 78kgs to 70 kgs in the span of 45 days and how am i planning to recover from failure.

Firstly, take the goal very seriously but try and enjoy the journey!

Step 1: For the next 45 days I have left sweets and eating after 5 pm. In addition to changing my eating habit I have also taken up exercising in the gym. Gym is the worst place for me to go because there is nothing new but same old repetitions, but it’s necessary for the goal and hard things make better me.

3 days earlier after a good gym sesh, I got a stiff neck and was not able to move my neck. I had to skip any physical activity for 2 days.

Step 2: If you have an issue where you fall off a path, you need to make sure of 2 things.

1) Don’t miss other things that are not related. For example, my intermittent fast did not break neither did I start eating sweets.

2) Try and start with the thing you missed, again as soon as possible. I got back to the gym in 2 days. Started small with 10 mins of cycling but got back none the less.

Essentially, doing what you missed again as soon as possible will make a lot of differnece.

Gamify your life, make it fun!

Think of your boss delaying an important task for the last day and then give it to you regardless of you wanting to do or not. Imagine yourself as the boss and you as the employee who the task is getting delegated to.

Would you want to do it to yourself?

No, right? Do the thing that your tomorrow self would want you to do today.
